Little Egypt: Updates and Anecdotes
The author of Looking for Little Egypt shares further tidbits and anecdotes about the notorious entertainer known as Little Egypt. 

Donna Carlton loves the flowing patterns of movement in classic bellydance and has been teaching it in Bloomington since 1989. She performed professionally at Greek and Arabic restaurants in the Indianapolis area and at fairs, festivals and cultural events throughout central and southern Indiana. She regularly sponsored seminars in Bloomington with master teachers such as Elena Lentini, Aida al Adawi and Shakira al Fannina. Donna served multiple terms as an officer and as seminar chair for the Indiana State Association of Middle Eastern Teachers and Dancers (ISAMETD). She teaches Middle Eastern Dance and Hatha Yoga at IU-Bloomington and in the community. She published the Middle Eastern Dance Video Sourcebook from 1989 to 2005 and is the author of Looking for Little Egypt (published 1995), which chronicled the history of the dance form in this country.  Find her on Facebook at All About Bellydance or her website
